From surfer-filled beaches to tropical forests to bustling Waikiki, Oahu is a study in contrasts and a marvel of diversity.
Included: A visit to the POLYNESIAN CULTURE CENTER, where we'll visit numerous "islands", enjoy a tropical LUAU and a festive native dance show; Pearl Harbor to view the USS Arizona in its watery grave. We'll spend time on the beaches, and we'll shop at the INTERNATIONAL MARKETPLACE just down the street from our hotel. One special day is spent at the amazing HONOLULU ZOO. We'll also be sure to spend some time on the BEACH! One of the highlights will be the Ali-i Kai dinner cruise, with entertainment and wonderful food, enjoyed as the small ship sails along the Waikiki shore towards Diamond Head. BRING YOUR CAMERAS!!!
After exploring Oahu, we'll fly or sail to the beautiful island of Maui, where we'll spend some relaxing time exploring the culture and history of this beautiful land! If weather conditions cooperate, we'll take a whale-watching cruise. We'll explore the old whaling town (now upscale and lovely shopping town) of Lahaina. We'll also spend some time just relaxing by the pool and by beaches.
Meal plan: Three meals daily are included. Breakfasts might be the amazing "Perry's Smorgy" buffet, featuring a huge variety of nutritious, healthful choices; lunches will be in local restaurants or picnics, suppers will be in restaurants or luau buffets. Accommodations: double or triple occupancy in a condo-hotel in Waikiki and Kehei.
Cancellations: No refunds for cancellations made 90 days prior to departure. Before that time, you'll receive refund less $50 processing fee, and less any prepaid, non-refundable expenses. Airfares are non-refundable. Cancellation insurance is available from Lucky Mindy Adventures AND IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TRIP AS SO MUCH MUST BE BOOKED AND PREPAID IN ADVANCE. This will PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT. For an example, insurance on $2500 worth of travel will cost $139 if you're between 35-60 years old. Other information: at the 1:2 ratio, one staff is shared between each two clients, to assist with daily activities, wheelchair pushing, street safety, medication administration, etc. Vacationers needing 1:1 care, specialized medical care, or awake overnight staff may bring a personal care attendant at 65% of the cost of the trip, plus airfare. More independent vacationers are guaranteed a 1:4 staffing ratio.
